We have built systems that take patient demographic data feeds and allow surgeons and clinicians to enhance this with specific patient data relevant to their specialist stream.

Interpreter Booking and Management Solution

Easy-to-use and powerful Interpreter booking and management solution custom built and deployed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Manage in-house interpreters and interpreter agencies through one easy to use and robust solution. API connection with outside agency provides instant confirmation of bookings and digital image retrieval of completed booking slips. Integrated with existing hospital IT systems to provide a live feed of patient interpreter requests.

A comprehensive suite of pre-built reports are available and iOS access to complete stats.

Cardiology Reporting System

We worked closely with the clinicians and admin staff to develop a fully customised reporting system for the Cardiology department. Included modules for Echo, Holter, Stress, ECG, Pacing, Congenital, Pregnancies, and more.

Final reports include tools and calculations that auto populate multiple sections of the report and highlights out of range values.

The solution also includes a booking module to handle the scheduling of patient appointments, confirmation letters, SMS functions plus a status board used to check-in patients in the waiting room.

SurgiPref: Preference Card Management

Datamine partnered with the RMH Project Office on an intricate project to develop an electronic Surgical Preference Card System – SurgiPref

With no ready made solution available off the shelf and with the additional need to integrate with the RMH IT database to pull through theatre booking data, a custom built database was the answer to meet the specific requirements and to arrive with an affordable and efficient tool.

SurgiPref is in full operation and allows theatre staff to select instruments and consumables for hundreds of procedures and map these against the specific preferences required by the Surgeons performing the procedure.

Lung Cancer Informatics

The Cardiothoracic department at RMH have been working with a Web based system that allowed them to keep patient data, manage collegiate feedback, meetings and produce letters, but it was not mobile and did not connect to the central hospital database. 

​Datamine group helped to bring these requirements into an enhanced, mobile solution that delivers the database to the clinic and to surgeons and support staff on the go as they move through different areas of the hospital.

This has given them an edge in being able to collect data on patients, move them through stages of care and better analyse the collective datasets.
